I like the longer essays but my favourite piece was the reportage on The Raincoats concert. Was eagerly anticipating an update to "Dear Future Me" but it was not to be. Good stuff.
Just read Issue 12 and loved every moment! After spending my whole Christmas surrounded by tons of people and yet very disappointing conversations, it was so nice to feel connected to someone. Loved the part about capturing one's nightlife...so true! And I enjoyed every second of your description of Santropol. I also used to go there when I was younger and loved the atmosphere. "Bored to Death" was fantastic! The poem is incredible :)
The Rose was my supervisor. Her head is surrounded by a halo of gauzy, grey hair. She wears boxy, red blazers. She bears an uncanny resemblance to Margaret Atwood.
The Peacock was one of my teachers. Disorganized and perpetually late, she would come to class in a dizzy whirl of pashmina--out of breath after hustling in her Birkenstocks. She made up for these faults with her British accent. That, and she kind of reminded me of my Gran.
Editor-in-chief. Well, it's easy to get the flashy job title when it is your zine. But, that is the beauty of it. I am the head writer, photographer, artist and cutter-and-paster.
TRATP still on steroids!!
