The Rose was my supervisor. Her head is surrounded by a halo of gauzy, grey hair. She wears boxy, red blazers. She bears an uncanny resemblance to Margaret Atwood.
The Peacock was one of my teachers. Disorganized and perpetually late, she would come to class in a dizzy whirl of pashmina--out of breath after hustling in her Birkenstocks. She made up for these faults with her British accent. That, and she kind of reminded me of my Gran.

Stunningly composed, and man -- I really can't get over how exquisitely you manipulate words. Jesus. You might want to consider some form of writing as a career (seriously!!). "Unparalleled cue-card wisdom" has entered my poetic unconscious; beautiful. But: I think my favourite thing in the whole issue is the doodle-accented heart. It's so raw and so you.

love love love Olivia! Gone with the Wind is my fave book and movie of all time! Srsly. Do you know her film debut was Hermia in Reinhardt's 1935 film Midsummer Night's Dream? Little tidbit from my Shakespeare class.
